“Confluential” publishes high-leverage, big-picture, cross-sectorial knowledge, interventions, research, and prototype solutions to reduce x-risk, align advanced technologies, and generate pragmatic action around interconnected risk factors, climate change, animal and nonhuman life, and long-term societal impacts. We build a world-class and go-to platform for high-impact research, discussions, and strategies that inspire cross-industries, cross-disciplinary, systemic, and exponential transformations. Six global drivers will transform our world by 2030: accelerating technologies, climate crises and resource scarcity, evolving demographics, micro-globalization, fragmented societies, and an urbanized world. Accelerated AI enhancements impact how companies, researchers, and consumers develop, deploy, and use AI across industries. Preventing extreme risks requires information and engagement across sectors, disciplines, public and private entities, and the general public. The project has three main objectives. First, to provide valuable knowledge, research, and information that drives systemic change through collective and cross-sectorial action. Second, to become the go-to resource for research-driven information and ethical solutions at the intersection of x-risk, technologies, climate, community engagement, and social responsibility. And third, to build a cross-industries community that questions how we generate concepts, products, services, and design solutions in an age marked by increased existential risk. “Confluential” launches December 2023
